Plate-and-frame filter press has three compression modes, i.e., manual compression, mechanical compression and hydraulic compression. Manual compression refers to using a screw jack to drive keep plate for compression; Mechanical compression refers to using a motor equipped with H-type reduction gearbox to drive keep plate through rack driving components for compression; Hydraulic compression refers to driving keep plate for compression through hydraulic cylinder components on the rack by the hydraulic pressure station. The thrust plate and pressing device are connected by two beams to form the rack, on which the keep plate is hinged with the pressing device, filter plates and filter frames are arranged alternately in turn between the trust plate and keep plate, and the filter medium is placed between the filter plate and filter frame. Under the driving force by the pressing device, the keep plate will force all filter plates and filter frames together in the rack, and the filtration will start upon reaching the rated pressing force. The suspension liquid will enter filter chamber (consisting of filter frames and surrounding filter plates) from the feed inlet on the thrust plate, after which the solid particles will be retained at filter chamber by the filter medium, and the filtrate will be discharged out of the machine from the corresponding outlet after penetrating the filter medium.
Hydraulic system is power source of compressing mechanism and plate pulling mechanism.
Hydraulic system consists of oil cylinder or motor, plunger pump, low pressure pump, HP/LP overflow valves, reversing valve, throttle valve, hydraulic-control one-way valve, electromagnetic overflow valve, stop valve, valve seat, pressure gauge with electric contact etc. HP overflow valve is used to control the pressure of compressing mechanism, the LP overflow valve is used to control the pressure of plate pulling mechanism, hydraulic-control one-way valve is used to ensure the automatic pressure maintaining of lightening mechanism, two reversing valves are used to control the moving directions of compressing mechanism and plate pulling mechanism respectively, and the throttle valve is used to regulate the moving speed of plate pulling mechanism.
